Re: [APML] Possible Stolen Image?

Looks like your right Kevin, this is definitely Comet Hale-Bopp which unless
all of us have severe memory problems appeared in 1997! It's not mine, but
I'd hate if it was!
"Taken at ~2:30 AM, Israel sky, the night of 11-12 Aug, 2004." - Not
possible, looks like this guy should be reported, I hate this sort of thing!
Keith..

Subject: [APML] Possible Stolen Image?

On this page:
http://www.wunderground.com/wximage/viewimages.html?gallery=editorpick
is an image of a comet, it looks like Hale-Bopp to me.

The "photographer" claims it is a picture of "meteorites" taken the night of
August 11, 2004. I've sent him an email innocently asking him for more
details on how he took this image.

Anyway, I'm wondering if this image belongs to anyone here? There is a faint
silhouette of a tree on the left side of the image.

Obviously the editor who added this image to their "Approver's Choices"
doesn't know the difference between a comet and meteors or meteorites
either.

Disgustedly,
Kevin Wigell
