Re: [APML] Konica Centuria 400 now gone
Nah, just time to start looking at some of the more difficult to
find/smaller manufacturers from europe and asia.
The same people who manufacture Forte-Pan 200 and 400 (extended red
response) also make some colour film as well.
Unfortunately their website is buggered up and when you go to look at
the characteristics of their colour film you get sent to their bromide
paper (B&W) pages.
I'll have to drop them an e-mail tomorrow and see if I can get the
specifics on their colour film.
They are a hungarian manufacturer who have a reasonable following in the
medium and large format groups.
I believe that Joe O'Neil did some brief tests on Forte-Pan, but since
Tech-Pan was very much alive and kicking he didn't pursue the film. At
200 and 400 ASA out of the box it won't match TP for grain but it still
may make an interesting film hypered.
On the plus side of life for anyone living near Montreal I should have
my hypering setup going in about six weeks (including working out any
bugs) so start shopping for TP.

ps: Nikon film bodies should be going cheap soon.... Look for the
silver lining
