Re: [APML] Tech Pan

George,

#4 sounds interesting (LOL)

Actually, this subject has come up several times before in the APML.
There's no clear consensus whether refrigeration or freezing is best. It's
mainly clear that keeping the film colder than room temp increases life
span. Keeping it cold for a couple years seems to work fine. Long time
storage (many years) allows the film to pick up cosmic ray hits that can be
seen as spots in a subsequent picture. I personally haven't seen this with
film I've stored up to 4 years in my freezer, so I guess it happens over a
much longer time span. Keep it cool and keep it dry!

I searched through several Kodak bulletins for storage recommendations and
found that both freezing and refrigeration are mentioned, though never
together.
