I picked this up off the Kodachrome mailing list. I'll visit my local 
store tomorrow and see if they've received any news from Kodak.

There is a thread over on photo.net at the moment on Technical Pan film 
being discontinued, but the person states the fax they received from 
Kodak also states that Kodachrome 64 and 200 is also being 
discontinued!  B&H and Adorama have plenty of stock!  IF this is true, 
and I'll believe it when I see the Kodak Press Release posted on 
Kodak.Com, I'll buy some just to have a supply for the near future.  
Kindly please wait until I order all I want Sunday morning before you 
order yours!

While at the counter of my local camera store, buying some darkroom 
paper, the female clerk whom I've know for years showed me a fax she had 
just gotten from Kodak which clearly stated they are discontinuing both 
Tech Pan and Kodachrome slide film. I'd like to immerse the CEO of Kodak 
and Kodak's shareholders in a tub of boiling acetic acid or stain them 
with a heavy dose of Pyro from head to toes for screwing up the company 
so much. I've yet to read a very positive analysis/review of Kodak's 
digital camera releases, yet the CEO thinks sales of digital cameras 
will rescue Kodak. What a jerk!

What I'm asking is "has anyone heard anything other than the rumor of a 
fax being sent by Kodak earlier today?"    Has anyone on this list seen 
the fax, received the fax or have any other information?  I can check 
locally when stores open Saturday morning, but they don't carry any 
Kodachrome except for movie film.

I'll also e-mail my contact at B&H and ask, but they are closed for the 
Sabbath.

PS  Anyone know of a florist that carries BLACK roses in Rochester.  If 
true, a dozen should be in order for Dan Carp!
