Re: [APML] [Fwd: Aug 17 Aurora shots - finally!]
Thanks to everyone for the kind comments. Answers to a few of the questions:
Dom - they are full frame but now that you point it out - the big dipper
seems too big to be a 16mm shot but that was the lens I used and it is
still on the camera. Hmmm. I resized the images in PS but retained the
aspect ratio so they should not be cropped. I'll have to ponder this
further.
John - no colours visible naked eye - probably the bright band nearest
the horizon had a greenish tint but it wasn't striking. I blew a lot of
frames thinking it would not ever get going then with about six frames
left in the camera it took off. Luckily though it subsided as I was
taking the last frame so I was able to go to bed and get up somewhat
ready for work.
