John, a curse? maybe if it happens all of the time.  we get 1/2 a display
per year on the average...

Auroral embers?? Chris, you make this sounds so flowery and poetic! It's a
curse!! Nice shooting though. You are about 1000 miles south of me, so the
solar flux must have been pretty high. All we could see here was forest fire
smoke......

Hi all,

Well, it did it again, the Kp soared and we got a gorgeous red aurora here
in arizona that lasted over 2 hours last night.  This is my first attempt to
shoot the phenomenon with Supra 400, and I am very pleased at this result:
