Re: [APML] Arizona Aurora!

Great "southern " shots Chris !!!

One time again , the Kodak supra 400 show that he's good in red ;) I want to bring only a litle correction of your description "This one from a coronal hole in the Suns photosphere" , this aurora was not from the coronal hole but from a solar eruption ( thought at first to be a backside event , that's why it was unexpected ) and an impact on the magnetosphere. The visible coronal hole http://www.spaceweather.com/images2003/18aug03/coronalhole_soho.gif will take effect tomorow or the day after.

Congrats on your pics !

Hi all,

Well, it did it again, the Kp soared and we got a gorgeous red aurora here
in arizona that lasted over 2 hours last night. This is my first attempt to
shoot the phenomenon with Supra 400, and I am very pleased at this result:

Anyone else near 34N get a shot in?
