Re: [APML] Strong aurora potential tonight

Dominic, I was out too and pushed through almost a full roll of Supra
400 (was what was in my camera). Used only my 24mm Nikkor. Please don't
tell me it got even better after moon rise - I took all my shots between
10:05 and 11:00pm then to bed (work you know). It started very ho-hum
for me in the North-Northwest, a noticeable glow over the horizon, then
suddenly all sorts of structure started emerging and some movement. Lots
of pillars developed and I got at least a couple of spikes rising
through the Big Dipper. By the end, there was a curtain that filled the
frame of the 24mm lens - wow! Then it settled down around 11:00 and so I
quickly averted my eyes and went in so I wouldn't end up out all night.

Will have to find a way to get these developed but it might be next
weekend I fear.

Stuart
