Besides the increase in aperture you are getting a larger focuser with the
Taks. No 2" stuff here. This will enable you to explore medium format if
you choose. Since moving over to the FS102 last Dec, the greatest accessory
I've found is the CAA or Camera Angle Adjuster. This lets you frame your
subject without removing the camera or moving the camera and field flattener
like you have to do with a TeleVue scope. The FS102 also uses the Wide
T-Mount which delivers less vignetting on 35mm than the TeleVue adapters.
I am very pleased with my FS102 purchase. Its a great astrograph. If the
scope is still on sale like it was in the past, I think its a wonderful
deal.
You should also know that the Taks have a lot of accessories that can add up
quickly.
I can't comment on the FSQ106 since I've never used one.
