RE: [APML] OT: Mount & Scope Cases
Scopeguard is the best I've ever seen. Prices are in line
with other customer fabricators.
Pelican works pretty darn well as long as there is enough foam
on the top and bottom to cushion the head. I have no problem
shipping something like a Tak EM-200 in one of them. But
a heavier mount won't have enough cushioning IMO.

Subject: [APML] OT: Mount & Scope Cases
I'm looking for advice on buying a case for a small GEM. I've looked at the
ScopeGuard cases and they are nice. I've also looked at some Pelican cases
on the net. Anyone have a strong recommendation either way? Or maybe some
other case I don't know about. I want something to protect the mount during
travel, like the back of my truck as well as air travel.
Thanks,
Scott Hammonds
