Hi Herm,

That is good advice.

Additional good advice is if a computer is constantly connected to the 
internet with DSL or a Cable modem, it should absolutely be using a 
firewall.  This will prevent those messenger service ads without disabling 
the messenger service.

It's not that you need messenger service, it's just that if you are not 
behind a firewall, you are really at risk, and I mean REALLY at risk.
