Hi Michael,
I don't have the ink clogging problem with my Canon.
The Epsons are notoriously slow. The Canons are much faster.
As for the delay between clicking the print button and when it starts
printing, that depends on whether you try to start to print with the
printer off, and the printer driver. There is some chuging with the Canon
during the warm up cycle. The Canon also will turn itself off when not
used for a certain amount of time to save electricity, but you can turn
that feature off.
