Love those dark nebulae.

I just picked up a roll of film that has two almost identical shots of
M16: 145 minutes and 150 minutes. You'd think that the results would be
almost identical, but no way. One of the shots was on a night where
there was a persistant haze hanging around the entire region for
several days, but was not really noticeable at night. In fact the night
skies looked almost identical to me, but the proof is in the pudding,
and it's the only thing I can think of. The one with the hazy skies
looked like an exposure half as long as the other when in fact they
were the same length.
