[APML] Gamma and the "E"
Hi folks -
I've uploaded two new images taken in July. One's of the Butterfly Nebula
surrounding Gamma Cygni and the other is of the dark nebulas B142 & B143 in
Aquila. Both taken on Provia 400F and pushed +1 with the Tak FS102. What
excited me about these is that I feel I have found the sweet spot of 400F
when shooting from my location. Last summer I did some shots with a +2 push
and did not like the results as well...the shots were very magenta. Around
50min @ f/6 gives me a trans that is nicely exposed and easily scanable.

A big thanks goes out to my friends John Boudreau and Matt BenDaniel who
helped critique the images during processing. The only thing that has me
puzzled is the lack of rich star colors in the Gamma Cygni shot. I pushed
the blue in the highlights which helped some. John and I have some
theories, anyone else care to offer a explanation?
Comments welcome.
Enjoy!
