Looks like you're doing a lot better than "zero" with your M8 image! Anyway,
there is a definite learning curve with the ST-4. Have you digested the
tutorials?

I found Wil Milan's tips to be the most useful, but they are all good.
If you can see a guide star with a reticle eyepiece in the OAG tube, you're
almost there. (My own biggest problem is that step.) If you want to contact
