There they are...the rules...easy enough to understand....

When I joined this list a few years ago, I knew full well by reading the
guidelines that this was a film based group... and still is!
This is what it should stay.
There should not be a vote, because this is a discussion of film
astrophotography.

There are a great # of ccd groups out there versus film astro groups.
Why taint it?

This is really frustrating to see this happening.

CCD'rs are guests here that have gotten too comfortable and seem to be
wanting to now take a sort of contol on things?

My aim and hearts hope is to PRESERVE an astro FILM group until film is dead
one day MAYBE being the keyword.

Cmon...leave the original film group alone and dont try to change it.
There are many of us here who have been here a long time as well that just
wants to have a place to call home...why attack apml?
This is our home for the discussion of film related astrophotography.

If there should be any voting, it should be for the title of this group to
add film to one of the letters of apml.

I am glad this resource is still here and hasnt faded yet.
It would be too hard with the over bombardment to weed out a film guy over a
ccd guy on any other given group.
If things continue down this course with allowing more tolerance for ccd,
things could get blurry is my fear.
Ive been here long enough to know the names and the charector of this group,
but newbies (the next gen), will allow even more and thus allow this group
to fade faster then film.

Ok...

With all that said, I do enjoy ccd images...almost moreso then film..
I have commented on various ccd posts exhorting the efforts of the fine
skills they posess,(Rob Gendler can testify to that), but in the back of my
mind has always been the silent sigh of that it doesnt belong here.
Im torn somewhat because I do enjoy them, I just know the rules and where
they apply.
I am patient and understanding and this is why I probably dont say much on
the topic.

I just prefer this group to stay film based as it was intended in the rules.

There should be no bickering about this simple thing.
