For the most part I agree with you. But I too have followed the SBIG
list for about 2 years. I find it VERY technical. CCD imaging is very
computer dependant. Lots of software too..  Maxim, CCDSoft, CCDOPS.
Computer controlled focusing with temperature compensation, flats,
darks; the list could continue forever. All that computer stuff is what
has kept me away so far, maybe forever. I can barely manage my e-mail
accounts. Posting an ad on astromart is a major undertaking for me.
