Re: [APML] How do you N2 Purge an OM-1?
Steve,
I don't think I would drill holes in anything you
might want to list on Astromart later. (ie. re-sale
value of a telescope) I went through the tripod
adapter (ala Phil Perkins) on my Canon F-1. I used
shrink tubing to route thru to the film canister area,
just like Phil. The tubing was the right diameter to
weave past the mechanism in the bottom. I also had to
take out the adapter and drill while holding it in a
vice.I can send you some images off list if you're
interested. The toughest part was finding a 1/4x20
fitting to feed in the gas. I found some hollow
threaded thingamajigs at Lowe's or Eagle Hardware. Or
maybe it was Home Depot. I believe it was Bobby
Middleton mentioned them last year in a thread.
