Re: [APML] RE: Oh No! Kodak "Improves" Royal Gold
Nicola;
Kodak LE400 (Law Enforcement) is the old PJM400 relabeled for Police Evidence Photography (LE). If you're interested here's a source below. Mardel lists Kodak LE100, LE400 & LE800 ! ! !
I don't know if they made a mistake or what, but when I ordered "2 packs of 5 rolls each" I received 2 boxes of 4 packs of 5 rolls each. :)
400LE is a little difficult to find, their Search engine doesn't find "Law" or "LE400";
http://www.mardelonline.com/cgi-bin/SoftCart.exe/index.html?E+products
1) Click on the "Products" button at the top,
2) Scroll to the bottom to 'View by Manufacturer', click on "Kodak"
3) In the 'Color Negative Professional Film' section click on "Law Enforcement Film"
You can also check on Don Westergrens's site for film test comparisons at http://home.nethere.net/mpd/index.htm Don uses Kodak PPF400 Hypered 12hrs and 1sec exposure for his baseline reference of comparing other films. Don's site is well worth studying. Hopefully there will be some films available where you're located...joe :)

I'm placing an order for some Supra 400 to go along with the 8 rolls of LE400 that I still have. In the mean time I'm going to experiment with some new stuff... Has anybody tried Konica Centuria Super 1600? The tech sheet has an interesting line in it ("perfect for sports and astral photos") , see...
