Hi Joe:
I moved to the A-P 900 primarily for the go-to function (this was before the
Gemini go-to became available for the G-11). I'm not much of a visual
observer and my star-hopping skills are non-existent. The DSCs helped
tremendously with the G-11, but they are not the same as actual go-to in
convenience. A second advantage of the 900 (not realized when I ordered it)
is that it breaks down into 2 individual components for easy portability
whereas the G-11 does not. (I'm 70 and my personal load-carrying capacity
isn't as good as any of my mounts <G>.)
