RE: [APML] Was G11 Tracking problem (double star)-Final Comment
Kirk,
It seems like what we have here is "Failure to communicate." :-)
Perhaps I mis-spoke, and should have read your message more carefully.
There were really only two points I wanted to make.
1. I genuinely wanted to know what exactly "did not work as advertised."
2. I saw, what appeared to be mixed messages coming from you. You seemed to be saying YOUR
experience with the G-11 was unsatisfactory, and yet on your website, I saw comments that
would suggest just the opposite. (My quick review of your note suggested to me that you
were very unhappy with the G-11, because it did not meet this ambiguous standard of
performance).
I see after more careful review of your previous exchanges, that this was not the point
you were trying to make, and that you were not being inconsistent. I apologize for
suggesting you were.
On the first point, though, I still don't know what standard of performance is/was
expected. What advertised level of performance is not being met?
Seems like there is a lot of thin skin, and emotionalism on this topic. Greg's car example
is pretty over the top. I still don't know what problem he has had with his mount. All I
have seen from him is on this topic is emotional rhetoric. It appears now, that
clarification will not be coming soon.
In my view, it seems this topic has been used as an excuse for some people to vent, for
whatever reason, disdain for the G-11 mount. No specifics given, only negative and
generalized statements. But I doubt anyone's mind will be changed here and I frankly don't
care. However, exchange of facts tempered with a little perspective would be refreshing.
