	I  use an older Losmandy mount, and i had to rebuild my mount a bit after 
I took delivery of it (used) because the yahoos who delivered it obvisouly 
dropped it  - maybe more than once.

	Maybe because I see it from the other end, but you can never under 
estimate how much damage can be done to anything out there  by poor 
handling from shipping.  The problem is, unless you see broken shards of 
glass lying about, there is almost no way to tell if there has been 
internal damage because somebody dropped it hard - until you actually use it.

	If I had to bet money on the subject, my belief is some of the problems 
reported here are directly due damage occured while in shipping.  Some of 
the tollerances are so tight in places, it sure does not take much to cause 
a problem.
