RE: [APML] Was G11 Tracking problem (double star)-Final Comment
Jay:
You can 'pound' on me all you choose. However, you're incorrect in what
you're stating. I never had a problem with my G11 and stated this
unequivocally. Sorry if the statement about any product 'not working as
advertised' provoked you but I wasn't referring to the G11 mount
specifically, just aggravation as expressed by Greg Mueller (who apparently
left the list over this thread and your comments). See my initial comments
excerpted below:
I've read many horror stories of folks using G-11's with little success, but
the one I had worked well and had excellent tracking capabilities with no
modifications. Scott was always helpful and willing to discuss any issues
that arose and I viewed him then as I do now, a true gentleman.
You're correct, I should have my behind kicked over so damning an
assessment.... It's also crystal clear from the above excerpt that I'm
requesting 'someone else to take pictures for me' as indicated from your
response below....

Seems like a lot of BS is going on here in this thread.....<
Perhaps you would like someone else to take pictures for you? The endeavor
of astrophotography has never been easy with any mount. It has always been
challenging.
I just think a little perspective is in order - The G-11 is a very good
value.

There are small guiding errors here... But they are my fault!
