Re: [APML] G11 Tracking problem (double star)
Hi Chris- Let me add that my little GM8 has done a fine job, is an elegant
design, and is reliable. My experience has me believing the biggest challenge
to their new owners is their inability to adjust the worm block, properly
(im)balance the load, and polar align. Since it is the neophyte APer who is
most likely to purchase an 8 or 11, these simple but important steps can be very
frustrating and discouraging. Someone who purchases the higher end mount
usually has left these growing pains behind. Larger capacity and less periodic
error costs thousands more. Some can survive without.
