Actually, I used mine for 2 years with a C-11 for CCD shots with no 
modifications.  I later added a 3rd bearing in each shaft.  I knew nothing 
about mounts when I bought it and learned to perform the occasional 
tune-up.  The SkyWalker Servo unit has been a recent addition for location 
of dim fuzzies for CCD imaging.  It has its limitations but I still say 
that it is a great mount for the money.
