[APML] Adorama- Supra 400 & USA vs. made in USA for International use

Hi all,

Just got off the phone with Peter at Adorama Camera. I
had some things I wanted cleared up, and here's what I
found out:

1. As of this time, it doesn't look like Kodak has
changed Supra 400. He suggested that the manufacturers
usually are going to make any changes at least 45 days
before the big film/camera shows in October. Sort of
like new car lines. Any Supra they have in stock will
be the same old emulsion, when I've sent this I will
be ordering some.

2. The only difference between 'USA' and 'Made in USA
for International use' films, is the packaging.
'Gray', or 'Gray Market' films on the other hand, may
have been previously shipped overseas and then shipped
back for resale. The biggest concern with those (gray)
films is that they may have been exposed to radiation
somewhere along their travels. This clears up some
concerns for me as the 'Made in USA for International
use' films are 40% cheaper than the 'USA' films. Five
packs go for $15 as opposed to $25.

3. He stated that there are clear differences between
the Royal Gold and Supra lines. I infer from that,
that a change to one will not necessarily mean a
change to the other.

Hope some find this useful,
Alan
