Re: [APML] IC1396 on RG200

Hi Arne,

Thanks!

But unfortunately I have to tell you that I forgot to bring the Aquavit to
Stellafane this year! George was soooo disappointed!!! That stuff makes a
great paint remover. ;o)

That a nice 1396. Especially since it was probably one of the few ever
guided by a 201xt <g>. So you have a Tak FS-60 now... for CCD primarily? I'm
thinking of a TV76 for such a purpose. Setting it up with the TV focal
reducer will give me about 385mm.

Take care,

John Boudreau

Very nice shot, John!! I can see that you are still using the famous
"mini-Newt" <VBG>

For comparison, here is an old 60 minute exposure I took of IC1396 using
Kodak Elite Chrome 200 and a 300mm f/4,5 Olympus Zuiko Lens:

This was one of my first autoguided images (using my old Meade 201XT
autoguider). After seeing your image, I must admit that mine is due for
some reprocessing. Maybe I should try re-shooting it with my new FS-60C
also?

Best Regards,
Arne
