I wasn't at OSP but I was in the area. I was 1000 ft lower and a few
miles to the west at the astronomy cabin and I'll agree that Friday
night was pretty darn good. I have seen it better there in the
spring/early summer before the dust and fires get going. I was out
answering natures call one night while we were building the cabin and
was stunned by the steadyness and clarity. I though I saw a moon lit
cloud out of the corner of my eye but when I looked, it was the milky
way. It was a bit cool that night
