[APML] OT A funny story about Astropictures & Kodak picture CD
Recently, for some of my astro pictures, I have been getting Kodak Picture
CD processing.
I don't have a good scanner, and while the 1600 by 1200 pixel scans are
scarcely up to the potential of the negatives, it gives you a starting point
to see if there are any worth pursing and it doesn't cost much. I've done
several rolls with reasonable scanning results.
I took 6 shots last Wednesday, on a roll of RG 200, the following morning, I
went outside to finish the role, and took 18 shots of flowers in the yard.
When I got back the Picture CD, there were only 18 pictures on it, all of
flowers. But there were all 24 prints. The astro shots were at F5.6 for
between 30 and 60 min, and were reasonably deep.
It's my fault for not giving special instructions but it's still funny.
