Re: [APML] RG200 Alert
Bill,
You said you don't have the hypering equipment. Your best bet for color
negative film is Supra 400, which really doesn't respond much to hypering.
It is a very good film unhypered. It may not be available in drug stores,
but should be available in any well stocked photo store. Another film that
is very good unhypered is LE 400, but that is strictly mail order, and only
from a few places to the general public (LE is Law Enforcement).
Royal Gold 400 used to be very good unhypered, but Kodak changed it the same
time they changed RG200. I don't know how the new RG400 works yet.
For slide films, E200 is good for red objects, but poor in blue. Provia 400
has much better blue, about equal to red. Both films can get a bit more by
push processing. Push 2 can get you up to one stop increase in film speed
for astrophotos.
