Subject: Re: [APML] LUM with IR
cutoff
Hello,
I have been running around trying to
get ready for the OSP but I did find a few minutes to slap together some data
I have from NGC 6946... I tried shooting some RGB and then combining it with a
LUM that was made with IR cutoff... my impression is that this is a good
thing... the LUM "fit" exactly into the RGB at 100% and it seemed to me there
was plenty of detail showing in the LUM... I uploaded the LUM and a very
crummy RGB to a secret spot on our web site:
and
One thing that bothers
me is the strange "arcs" coming off the top of the star on the left... I am
shooting with a pure reflector... any ideas where that could be
happening?
At any rate, these are
kind of "raw" images but maybe you might want to see what happens with the IR
cutoff in the LUM.
Have a good
one,
Tony
