RE: [APML] (OT) IC1396 CCD with Schmidt-like FOV



A good solution already exists in this focal length for $829 base street
price.

Consider the Tak FS-60c @ F/5.9 (355mm),
Focal Length with triplet reducer: F/4.4 (264mm)

The Tak FS-78 can also be reduced (though I don't know to what)

I don't think $5-6K for a 300mm F4 would market well when excellent optics
are already available very close to this focal length/ratio at a fifth the
price.

just think about a 300mm f 4 lens designed by you optimized for large
CCD's (St-10) could sell for upwards of 5-6,000 US$, and that's not out
of the budget for most ST-10 owners. Lets say you would make 10 as a
trial run- bet they sell out as soon as you announce them.
Hypothetically speaking, of course.
