Hey Tim,

We all have this same problem sooner or later. Unless
the lab Wal-Mart sends your film to for processing is
REALLY bad, there's not a lot they can do to screw up
your negatives. They all pretty much use a standard
processing procedure listed on the film container.
It's probably the printing that has gone astray.

Tell them to increase the density (or print it darker)
until things are looking good. If they do it in-house,
this process will be easier. If not, it's going to be
trial and error and you may never get it looking
right. At that point you may want to consider sending
it to someone who specializes in astrophotos.
