Re: [APML] life of a CCD (and Filters)



Chuck,

   I was around then but did not remember this discussion.  Thanks for
posting it.  I noticed that the link showing the graphs was no longer
available.  Anyway it is good to know that at least the lumicon filters
can take that much cleaning and remain in good shape. 

  But, I did find the discussion about cloudy RGB filters which had
to be replaced.  Maybe it was some sort of air pollution.   Here's

I had a similar problem with my filters some time ago, I sent some
flatfield data frames taken with the offending filters to SBIG and they
were replaced
