Is there one particular constellation that sees
more Perseid meteors than any other? It seems Andromeda gets quite a
few. However, I would suspect from a statistical standpoint it
would be coincidence that this one constellation sees more given the randomness
of each meteor emanating from the Perseid radiant. I would even
venture to guess that the more common occurrences found on film are due
primarily in the hope of capturing a deep sky object and a meteor within the
same field of view. Are there any more thoughts on this
subject? It sure would be nice to increase our odds, but I'm afraid that
any correlation found is probably skewed.
