Re: [APML] 48 Inch Schmidt Telescopes
I do not have the particulars on the Schmidt camera. He did use a flat
mirror similar to a Newtonian secondary to bring the image out to the CCD
which was just outside the Celestron tube. He used one of the smaller SBIG
cameras. Since he lives in Chile, I would guess he probably either got the
idea from Cerro Tololo or they got it from him. To my knowledge there are
no photos or a web page on the system. You might try to get some
information from the observatory.
