Ah, those were the days... film and prints.  It seems like eons (5 years) 
ago. <G>

BTW, on the amastro mailing list, Brian Skiff pointed out that the Palomar 
Schmidt has been converted to CCD exclusively, but that the UK Schmidt is 
shooting TechPan
film for the deep H-alpha survey.

Those plates should be astonishing!

The UK Schmidt is probably the last professional telescope on the planet 
shooting film.

Sigh.
