Re: [APML] 9mm or 12mm guiding eyepiece
I have owned the Orion 12.5mm illuminated reticle for 6 years and have been
very pleased with it. It has been my mainstay for use with my former 10"
LX200 and now my 12.5" Ritchey. I have been so pleased with it that when I
wanted a 5mm version (for my AP 6") I went back to Orion and got
theirs. These are solid, well constructed eyepieces and excellent Plossls
in their own right. They both have double crosslines, no concentric
circles. I'm not sure I would know what to do with the concentric circles
if they were there - they may get in the way.
The default for these things seems to be Meade, but don't overlook Orion -
I have been very pleased with everything I have purchased there. Almost
certainly less costly than Meade too.
