    IMHO get the eyepiece without the circles.... if you are trying to guide 
on a faint star
the more "noise" you have in the eyepiece the harder it is to see the star. 
Back the star
into your favorite corner of the square and keep it there, or use the Lumicon 
relay lens
to really power up the guide/shoot ratio and then just keeping the star in 
the center of the square will do great. As an aside, it is vital for people 
new to guiding to manually guide in some fashion before using automated 
devices...1. You will understand guiding. 2. You will fall on your knees and 
say a prayer of thanks to SBIG for having perfected autoguiders.
