Dear Scott,

     The way that I would see using the AN glass with the scanner is to place 
the
glass on top, nothing on the bottom. The idea is to see which way the film is
bowing and put it up against the glass to flatten in out. Since there is no 
glass
between the film and the lens/CCD I would imagine there would be no 
degredation
caused by the texture of the AN glass.
