RE: [APML] Adjusting mosaic frames

There's probably a thousand ways to do this, and while I'm far from an
expert - the following seems to work for me:

1. Register the images to be paired in Register.

2. Using layers in PS, assemble the mosaic - each image in the mosaic should
be in it's own layer.

3. Using levels, color balance, etc.. match the backgrounds and colors of
the images by making adjustments to each layer (I'm not certain I
understand, but from your explanation below, it seems like you are trying to
match the backgrounds after the images have be assembled to one image - I
don't think that would ever work.)

4. Feather the edge of the images, so as to blend the images seamlessly.

5. Flatten the image, then make final adjustments.

I would repeat this for each set of images, then stack the separate mosaics.
Here's a mosaic I'm still working on - it's two frames through an R200 -

Still trying to get some good exposures to complete this - I want to get two
more frames to include the pelican, also need to improve the upper part of
the NA image itself.

| Hi all,
|
| Just to clarify a little more. I have a 2 panel mosaic,
| with each panel
| having 3 negs to stack. After I stack them in Registar and
| assemble the
| mosaic in Registar, I go to Photoshop, where I try to match
| the background
| for each panel, unsuccessfully. Should I be adjusting the
| levels in PS
| before I assemble the mosaic?
