Alan,
That's been the conventional wisdom but I wonder if it's time to take
another look at that. I know what a typical LCD display looks like from
a few years ago and CRTs were certainly superior to those.
In a darkened room an astrophoto looks like a backlit transparency on
this display.
If you have not seen one of the Apple Cinema displays or this new Dell,
then you should take a look for yourself.
