[APML] Noise Reduction and LCD Monitors

I'm sure I'm late to the party but I picked up a new Dell 2405FPW LCD 
monitor this past week. Of course I wanted to view all my old images on 
this new beauty. Was I in for a shock. All my old tricolor images 
looked terrible! They were sooo grainy. On a recommendation from Jerry 
I tried Noise Ninja to clean them up. Wow, what a difference. Here's a 
couple of comparisons.

This display is so bright, sharp, and high contrast that it makes most 
of old work look bad. Is there any reason to even use a CRT anymore? 
The Dell even passes the black level differentiation test, the 
difference between level 0 and level 1 is easy to see.
