RE: [APML] Reprocessed Comet NEAT (C/2001 Q4) Image

Wade,
Excellent work. Love those wide field shots. The processing is definitely an
improvement from the first round.

Subject: [APML] Reprocessed Comet NEAT (C/2001 Q4) Image

Since the advent of PixInsight LE and its awesome gradient removal tool
(i.e. DBE), I have ventured back into my past archives and tackled a
severely vignetted Comet NEAT image. Below you will find the most recent
attempt:

I enhanced the faint ion tail somewhat using the lasso tool. I wonder if
there was a tail disconnect during the last day or so with this comet as the
ion tail is not straight. Hopefully, I didn't over process the image.

Here's the old version:

I just can't say enough good things about PixInsight LE. It is an awesome
program. Thanks PTeam.

Wade
