Thanks for the tip, Carlos!  I will try it, as well.  Maybe I'll even try a side by side comparison using the same image. That would be an interesting test...

You'll have to try PixInsight's DynamicBackgroundExtraction (or DBE). You'll get better results, and save $40 at the same time ;-)
