The Canon's have a wired remote jack for shutter control which is the secret
to long exposures...see www.dslrfocus.com. The Nikon's use an infrared
remote which is not compatible with the various long exposure software,
DSLRFocus, ImagesPlus, etc., so you have to manually capture the images.
With the Canon's you can program a long complex sequence and walk away.
Check out what Thom Iwancio, an avid APLM'er, did this last weekend with my
Canon 10D on his 8" SCT... http://www.machunter.org/thom_m51.html. I think
he's now hooked on DSLR's.
