Re: [APML] Pentax 67 1.4x rear converter

Hi,

I sold it already.

I used this lens on my Pentax 105SDHF. It produces very sharp
image at the center and the very corners of the field of view. However,
there is slight aberration between the center and the corners. At about
3cm from the field center, the sharpness is noticeably worse. You can
see this clearly in this image:

I cannot predict how it will perform on FSQ 106. I believe the image
will still be sharp at the field center but cannot be sure about the
corners. The aberration on my 105SDHF is produced by the combination
of my scope and the rear converter. It is not necessarily true that the rear
converter alone is responsible for the aberration. I bought this converter
from Matt BenDaniel. He may have used it on his 130 EDT. You can ask
him what the result was to get a rough idea about how this converter
performs on various systems. (This guarantees nothing on FSQ106, though.)

Cheers,

Wei-Hao
