Re: [APML] Vignetting remove !

Thanks to all who answered to help me and for the result sent off list too :) sorry for the late reply , my "sun" is in a hockey tournament .... !

The suggestion seem unanimous , PixInsight is the tool to use to remove the vignetting ... I'll have to play more with PixInsight.

Wade , I didn't tought about the ZL but it's a big proability because it's a very dark site where I was when I took these pictures. But I know that my lens make vignetting too ;) you can see some results from the same nights here

Thanks again to all !

p.s: these pictures are 2 years old but with the low activity of the Sun ( aurora ) I'll have more time to chase the stars ;)

Hi Dom!

Yes. An easy way is to use PixInsight's DBE. Make sure you downloaded the last version (1.0.2.143), and work over the full size scanned raw image.

Just set the sample points over places that you are sure enough that are not Milky Way's gradients, nebulas, or other objects. Than, generate the model and use PixelMath to substract or divide (using my method) by it.

Good Luck!

Regards,

Carlos
