Hey Jerry, is nice to see you back to the "bright" side ;-)
 
Well, I like the way Betelgeuse looks... nice color balance. Also the pic has a very good saturation. I liked the softer colors.
Now the critics. Definitively it needs a vignetting correction. Look how faint the Rosette seems to be, specially if you compare it with the Barnard's Loop.
Also I would suggest another threatment with the stars, avoiding saturating them so much (luminance). It would emphatice much more the diffusion effect. BTW, anybody knows why there is a red halo around blue stars in many cases?

I really loved the frame! Maybe you can play with both images, and use the stars from the new one. What do you think?
