RE: [APML] Camera lens questions

Hi Alan,

This sounds like you have an Olympus OM camera, is that correct? If so....

The Zuiko 300mm f/4.5 is supposed to be really good. Every once in a while I'll check on Ebay to see if there's a good deal on one. I own a Zuiko 200mm f/4, and it has nice round stars out to the edge when wide open. I recommend this one. The 300mm is similar. They are both relatively inexpensive ($100-200 per), so it's worth getting both.

As for 135mm, I'd say drop them both and get the Zuiko 135 f/2.8. It's faster, better, and not very expensive.

Check out this page for more info on Zuiko lenses, including lens tests:

Hope this helps,
Jason

Subject: [APML] Camera lens questions

All,

I have some telephoto lenses I need to get rid of and could use some
help and advice on them.

2 135mms;

1. Vivitar f/2.8
2. and a Zuiko f/3.5. Any opinions?

3 Longer range;

1. Aetna 450mm f/6.5 just got this in a a package deal and know nothing
about it.
2. Vivitar 300mm f/5.6 Had this a few months, but have not used it at
night.
3. Vivitar 400mm f/5.6 I just sent payment for this so don't have it
yet. Description sounds great and right now I'd say I'm leaning towards
this one.

I'd like to keep one in each group, so could really use help from those
who know way more than I do about these lenses.

Many thanks,
Alan
